How can we help?

Step-by-step guides for running a paid Telegram channel or group on AccessBot — create your own membership bot, connect payments (Stripe, PayPal, crypto, M-Pesa & Telegram Stars), build subscription plans, and manage members automatically.

New here? Setting up a Telegram membership bot takes three steps: 1. create your bot with Telegram's BotFather, 2. connect a payment method and create your plans, 3. add the bot to your channel or group — it handles invites, renewals, and removals automatically. Start free and follow the guides below.

Getting started

Add your bot to your channel or group

To add paying members and remove expired ones, your bot must be an administrator of every channel or group a plan unlocks. Without admin rights it simply can't manage anyone.

GIVE THE BOT ADMIN RIGHTS

Open the channel/group in Telegram → Manage → Administrators → Add Admin.
Search your bot's username and add it.
Enable these two permissions:
PermissionWhy it's needed
Invite Users via LinkGenerates one-time join links for paying members
Ban UsersRemoves members the moment their subscription expires

LINK THE CHAT TO A PLAN

In AccessBot open Channels and add the chat (the bot must already be an admin so it can read it).
When you create or edit a plan, tick the channels it should unlock.

Warning: A private channel where the bot isn't an admin — or with "Invite via link" turned off — will silently fail to add members. Check both before you sell.
